Weekly Highlights: March 1st - 7th
Team members saw overall success this week in iRacing as multiple drivers were able to bring home multiple podiums in their respective series and disciplines. Team Captain James East saw mixed success with a 1st place in Advanced Legends (4/8th split), a 3rd Place in the Nascar Gander Mountain C Class trucks (7/11th split) and heart breaking 19th place finish in the NIS Fixed Series (12/14th split). Plagued with bad luck on the track East once again found himself with a ruined racecar after being unable to avoid "the big one" around the Las Vegas eSpeedway. Perkins was able to secure a 2nd place in Advanced Legends (7/8th split) this week while also able to secure a 4th place finish in the Fanatec Street Stock Series round held at the Southern National Motorsports Park. With Perkins having a new wheel and peddle setup arriving this weekend we know he will be putting up even better results in the near future. Endurance and road racing specialist Demorest brought home a 5th place in the Mazda MX-5 Series in a very high split (5/29th split). Demorest just began testing with his new Fanatec system controls in preparation for the Sebring 12 hour where he will be leading the team's endurance effort, as well as putting in the ground work for his debut in the Octane Online Racing ACC Series. Last but certainly not least newcomer to the Team Goon Squad Roster Nick Monti had a successful first week in iRacing bringing home two first place finishes in the Rookies Miata MX-5 class (10/14th split and 9/18th split) as well as a 2nd place in Advanced Legends (4/7th split). A road racer at heart we look forward to adding Monti to our endurance efforts moving forward in the 2021 season.
